Hey Y'all!

Thanks to an article in the Charlotte Observer I was one of a couple of hundred that got to meet Paula Deen on Thursday....and an added bonus, her husband, Michael. I reserved my "spot" in line months ago and luckily was in the "D" group. It was lucky because I broke my toe last weekend. I feel like such a baby, but it still hurts! She was just as nice in person as she is on tv and very genuine (one of my favorite personality traits in other people). The food network on Sunday mornings is a tradition in our apartment....one of the many things I'll miss. Flip....are you sure you don't want the front bedroom?

Not much else going on in our neck of the woods. Every free minute has been used to pack, and I'm happy to say we're making pretty good progress. It's hard to believe that we'll be in the new house before Thanksgiving. We'll it's time to go fix some dinner and get ready for the big game. Go Panthers!

P.S. Basketball starts this week! Yippee!!!!

We Bought The Farm

OK, so it's not a farm and we technically haven't bought it yet... but we'll be living in The Chancellor before we know it. Start planning your visits!

The girls and other random musings

It's Saturday night. We just got back from a wedding a little while ago and Mike's back over at Julie and Brad's helping finish their tile floor they started this morning (yes the time stamp is correct). I'm trying my best to hold my eyes open until he gets back, so I decided to post some pictures to the blog.

I know this isn't the best picture, but it's the best I could do from where we were at. Kristen was on Hibriten's Homecoming Court a couple of weeks ago. Don't she and Kurt clean up well? It's hard to believe she's a senior. Her UNC application has been sent...everybody keep their fingers crossed.

Here's a new picture of my favorite girl. She's growing up entirely too fast.

I promise, Patches did not get her shoe fetish from me.

Have a good night ya'll. And Congrats to Dave and April! Have fun in Jamaica!
