Beauty

You know the old saying that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"? Nonsense. There's beauty inherent in all the things around us. And I'm not talking about the kind we find in the "obvious" places. I mean... well... just seek further and you'll see what I mean. Beauty is stitched into everything that touches our lives -- our possessions, our pets, our friends, our relationships, our emotions. Here... here are two pictures to get you started thinking about "alternative beauty" or "inherent beauty". I think both of these images are beautiful and I believe anyone can find something in them. Challenging? Yes. Rewarding? Absolutely.

And in other news, my old friend came back to visit again this year...

We're still here!

Hey everyone! I know...we haven't posted in forever. We've been so busy trying to keep the Harold's Angels blog page going that we've neglected this one. I thought I'd use some down time at work (shhh....don't tell anyone) to see Hello.....so HI!

Life's been a little nuts lately. We've had something every weekend and almost every night for a while and don't see a end to the madness until late October.....not complaining, but we've forgotten what a relaxing weekend just vedging is like.

As many of you already know, we're planning a surprise Race for the Cure team for Mike's uncle. We're up to 40 walkers and raised a little over $1100 dollars. We cannot say thank you enough to everyone. For anyone who's in town that weekend, we're going to have a little "get-together" later that day so everyone can visit with Harold. We'll post details to the Harold's Angels blog when we have them ready.

Let's see...what have we been up to since our last post...Chattanooga...that seems ages ago. We attended a surprise party for Phil's (Mike's Dad) birthday, spent a weekend downtown with my Dad and Debbie and saw the Jeff Dunham show (hilarious), went to the beach for Labor Day, watched some OSU football at the Witers (Go Blue!, Go Buckeyes!...their house is so confusing, ha!), spent a weekend in Chapel Hill for the Furman game and our 2nd anniversary, I attended a bachelorette party this past weekend while Mike baby-sat the "children", and finally spent a little bit of time with Kathryn and Andrew yesterday while we visited Mike's grandma in the hospital (hip replacement surgery). Talk about a run on sentence. Ha. I'm sure Mike's grammar meter is about to explode.

We're headed home this weekend for Kristen's homecoming....it's hard to believe she's a senoir this year. Then October finally brings the race, and a couple of weddings. Congrats to April and Dave and Nikki and Ethan!!!

I'll try to get some pictures posted soon. That's enough for now, I just didn't want everyone to think we had given up on our little blog here.

P.S. We will not even bring up Tarheel football....nuf said.
